AIW Gallery Show- "ANATOMY"

The most recent art show on display in the gallery at the Art Institute of Washington contained detailed drawings of the human anatomy based on human cadavers. Each artists work was completely unique to their own style. Where Marie Dauenheimer's pieces were extremely simplistic and precise, Josh Yavelberg's pieces were more abstract and colorful. Both showed their own representations of the dissected cadavers, along with several other artists. The show also showed parts of the actual dissections of the cadavers done by the teachers and students from AIW. It was very interesting to see this and how interested and intrigued the students seemed, as opposed to being disgusted and horrified; as I, most likely,  would be.
